Explore Ladakh's remote Rupshu, home of nomadic tribes, hidden forts, high passes and majestic yak. This area was first opened to foreigners in 1989, and has seen very little outside influence since that time. Over the course of 14 days, our trek takes us through deserted villages.
With the easing of restrictions in the eastern part of Leh, it is now possible to visit the great wilderness around the lake of Tsomoriri in Rupshu southeast of Leh and to glimpse Tibet from the shores of Lake Pangong in the far east of Ladakh. Far more relaxing and inviting are the new trekking possibilities offered near these lakes.

The first portion of the trek is gentle except while crossing the Shingo la Pass, the second part i.e from Pishu ( Zangla ) there is a pass to cross almost every day, the difference of the passes varies from 500m to 1200m that are ready to provide you spectacular panoramic view of landscape. Dramatic and varied scenery make this Ladakh's most celebrated trek. A classic summer trek in the dramatic Indian Himalaya. A week long trek crossing a pass of 5,216m/17,257ft. Plenty of pre-trek acclimatisation time in and around Leh. Time at a traditional Ladakhi festival ( June / July / August ).

Quick Itinerary:-

1 - 3:- Delhi. Take a sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi then fly to Leh.
4 - 5:- Attend the festival ( Jun ) or festival (Jul ) ( Aug ). Full day sightseeing in the Indus Valley including; Shey Palace, Thikse Gompa, Stakna Gompa and and Stok Palace.
6 - 7:- On trek, passing through Chilling, Skiu, Markha and Hangkar.
10:- Trek to Nimaling across broad meadows that rise to meet the lower slopes of Kang Yatse.
11:- Today is a rest day but there may be a chance to walk to Kang Yatse Base Camp - the highest peak in the Zanskar range.
12:- Cross the Kagmaru La pass, 5,216m / 17,257ft , where there are superb views. Descend to the village of Chogdo.
13:- End the trek with a short walk to the village of Sumdo. Drive back to Leh with a visit to Hemis Gompa en route.

Situated on the ancient caravan route to China, Nubra valley has only recently been opened for tourism. Nubra Valley means Ldumra ( the valley of flowers ), situated in the north of Leh. The lands north of Leh were off limits to tourists till 1994, and had been unexplored by outsiders since the 19th century. On this trek there are several villages, among the richest in Ladakh. This trekking is known as Sham valley or Apricot valley trek. Arrive at Likir monastery, where the track to Likir monastery meets between Saspol and Bazgo, it is hardly an hour walks from the road. Through the Indus valley and the ancient kingdom of Sham. We will discover the main Ladakhi monasteries and the wonderful sites surrounding them: Lamayuru and Alchi are all accessible by road, and Temisgam, Ridzong and Likir line the trekking route. This itinerary is of moderate difficulty and the path does not rise above 4500m. The trail crosses numerous traditional Ladakhi villages.
